This company specialises in the manufacture of spirits, liquors and aniseed, and the wholesale and retail trade of these products and other beverages in general. This an artisan distillery has continued to use the same age-old production method. “La Flor de Utrera” was established in 1960 by Antonio Espinar. It first distributed two brands, “La Flor de Utrera” and, later, “Horizonte”. This liquor is made in the distillery located at Polígono La Aurora (Utrera) using a still that is over 100 years old. Today, the company remains a third-generation business of aniseed artisans. They continue to use the same process, the same ingredients and the same way of doing things. Although the facilities have been modernised, the process and quality of the product remain unchanged.
The guests are welcomed in the reception area with a brief description of the Distillery’s history from its beginnings to the present day. The different varieties of “La Flor de Utrera” and “Horizonte” aniseed are presented, followed by a tasting. Finally, the guests visit the production area where the aniseed distillation and production process is explained.
