Cascadas del Hueznar

Seville enchants

The Salado de Morón Stream rises in the province of Cádiz and runs through Seville, crossing the towns of Montellano, El Coronil, El Palmar de Troya, Morón de la Frontera and Utrera until it reaches the River Guadalquivir, at the end of the Brazo del Este channel.

This stream is included in the Doñana Natural Park because it is an ecological corridor between Doñana National Park and the Sierra Morena.

The La Fontana Fountain in Badolatosa, as its name suggests, is located in the La Fontana stream.

According to oral tradition, in the stream there were some big boulders from which the water flowed into a natural basin that was constantly overflowing.

The fountain is located, on Alconchel Street, at the edge of the town of Mairena del Alcor, towards Viso del Alcor. Situated on an old drover’s road, it was once used as a resting place for cattle and a camping site. It was quite popular now during the Fair.

The 22-km long River Pudio is a tributary that flows into the right bank of River Guadalquivir. It runs through the western part of the province of Seville, crossing the Aljarafe from north to south. The stream rises in the municipality of Olivares and disappears next to the town of Coria del Río.

This stream is located 5.5 km south of Arahal, on its right bank, and is accessed from the El Coronil road.

This fountain dates back, at least, to the 16th century. It is located near a drover’s road, known as the Cordel de la Higuera, which leads to the Morón livestock trail.
