Arroyo de la Lapa

3

This stream is located 5.5 km south of Arahal, on its right bank, and is accessed from the El Coronil road.

It is a smaller tributary of the River Guadaíra, which is dry most of the year. A gallery forest envelops the stream. The riverside vegetation is formed by poplars, elms, ash, hawthorn, eucalyptus, brambles, mastic, myrtle, rushes, reeds, sedges, etc. The poplar trees found at the edge of the forest are the main highlight due to their extraordinary size.

Cultural elements of note include the Lapa wellspring, the Rancho de la Lapa and the country estates Hacienda de la Victoria and Hacienda de la Jorobada.
