Cascadas del Hueznar

Seville enchants

The fountain is located on the northeast edge of the town, on the former road to the Venta El Alto. A signpost set up by the Town Council indicates that the fountain was built in 1928. The spring feeding the fountain also supplies the town. A well-preserved washhouse, now in disuse, stands behind it.

Utrera’s Plaza del Altozano is a large square that sits in the heart of the historical centre of this Sevillian town. This square is the town’s most representative public space, its Main Square, where people come together to socialise.

Osuna’s former Municipal Granary is a civil building in the historic centre of the town. The building was acquired by the city council in 1731 to store the grain. The building was completed in 1779 as the inscription on the façade shows.

This 18th-century stately, civil building was once the seat of Osuna’s courthouse. As the inscription on the portal shows, it was built in 1738.

When walking around Osuna’s Collegiate Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, it comes as a surprise to find a viewpoint on one of its sides.

The Buena Vista Viewpoint is in a prime location with splendid views of the entire city of Osuna and the Sevillian countryside. The stone quarries from which the stone was extracted to build palaces and houses in the historic centre can be seen from here.

One of Osuna’s most beautiful streets is this steep street located at the foot of the baroque Merced Tower. The walk up the street, lined with buildings made with ashlars from Osuna’s quarries, leads to the Camino de la Buena Vista with excellent panoramic views of the town and Seville’s countryside.
