Semana Santa Estepa

Seville enchants

This convent, which disappeared after Mendizábal's disentailment, remained standing until a few decades ago. After its demolition to make way for the present construction, only what was the front garden of the convent and the doorway of the church remain.

This is one of El Coronil’s most significant palaces, built in 1714 after Diego Quebrado de Leon y Carvajal wed Maria Ana de la Calle y Castilla. Following the death of the nobleman in 1771, it was bequeathed to the Pious Schools of the Mother of God.

The 18th-century former Barrack-Garrison and Parish House are noteworthy examples of civil architecture in Peñaflor.

Its layout is typical of the houses at that time, with a central courtyard and two floors. The upper level has a gallery that is used to distribute the rooms.

The Chapel of the Our Lady of Dawn houses the titular images of the Venerable Confraternity and Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus of Humility, Our Lady of Victory, Our Lady of Dawn and Saint John the Evangelist.

In the early 18th century, the presbyter Cristobal Francisco Halcón de Cala built this small chapel-oratory dedicated to the Holy Trinity inside his house. This old, brick and masonry chapel was built in 1714-1719. The single nave is covered by different types of ceilings. The sacristy is located behind the high altar.

The 18th-century building is a typical family house with a courtyard with baroque aesthetics and construction style. This is a publicly-owned property that has been renovated to house the local museum (Casa Museo de la Ciudad).

This 18th-century stately, civil building was once the seat of Osuna’s courthouse. As the inscription on the portal shows, it was built in 1738.
