Feria

Seville, beautiful and diverse

This is a multi-purpose complex designed by the architect Aurelio Gómez Millán in 1940, which has a wide range of uses (devotional, educational, funerary and recreational), originally conceived by Cardinal Pedro Segura Sáenz.

The “La Placita”, as it is affectionately known by the locals, was urbanised in 1947–1948.

Plaza de España is a square lined by the most emblematic buildings of Gines.

The Town Hall and Hacienda Torregines stand on the left side, where Calle Real meets the square. On the opposite side is the Nuestra Señora de Belén Church and Hacienda de Santa Rosalía.

Utrera’s Plaza del Altozano is a large square that sits in the heart of the historical centre of this Sevillian town. This square is the town’s most representative public space, its Main Square, where people come together to socialise.

The Plaza de Abastos, formerly the San Francisco Convent, is located at Osuna’s Plaza Mayor, a few metres from the Casa de la Cultura and Santa Catalina Convent.

The square dates back to the second half of the 16th century. It was initially located opposite the Ecija Gate. It was known as Plaza de la Feria in the early 17th century. Today, following several renovations, it has been named after one of Spain’s most prominent literary authors. The famous Arco de la Pastora, which lends charm to the plaza, is the focal point of Cervantes Square.

Centrally located, next to the Altozano Square, this long plaza has a triangular shape. Several major streets –Fuente Vieja or Sevilla- converge on this square.
