Cascadas del Hueznar

Seville enchants

The Camino de Santiago from Cádiz to Seville links the city of Cadiz and towns in the Bay of Cadiz with Seville, where it links up with the Vía de la Plata (Silver Route). It does so by following, as far as possible, the route of the Roman Via Augusta.

Las Navas de la Concepción

During the Middle Ages there were only cereal farms and livestock farms in this area, and it was not until 1557 that the monks of the Order of San Basilio established themselves in the area and were responsible for designing the layout of the streets of what is today the town.

We leave Ronquillo on the N630, driving approximately 4.5 km to the turn-off to Almadén de la Plata, on the A8175 road. We will travel 8.5 km until we reach a crossroads where we will have to continue on the left, always towards Almadén de la Plata, along the same A8175, for 9 km, until we reach Almadén. In this stage we will enter the Sierra Norte Natural Park.

We start from the entrance to the A477 road coming from Gerena until we reach a crossroads with traffic lights. Then, we have to turn right onto the Avenida de Andalucía, continue to a roundabout for about 200 metres, where we turn left to leave towards El Castillo de las Guardas on the SE4401.

We will start the route on Avenida Dr. Fleming in Las Cabezas de San Juan until we reach a roundabout. We will have to turn right on Calle Blas Infante. After 100 metres we come to a crossroads where we must continue straight on along the Avenida de Jesús Nazareno, where we leave Las Cabezas and take the SE-5208 road.

Alanís

On entering the Natural Park, you will see the silhouette of Alanís standing out against a gentle slope. Its medieval castle at the top and, next to it, the chapel of San Juan are the most distinctive landmarks of the town.

The route starts at Avenida de Antonio Machado, where we take the road towards the entrance to the village. We will continue along it until the avenue turns to the right and becomes Calle Marco Orbaneja and then Avenida de la Campana, we will follow it until we leave the town.
