Seville, beautiful and diverse

The Cañuelo Park, which takes its name from an old farmhouse nearby, is situated to the south of the Aljarafe Cornice. Its location near the town centre makes it an ideal place to connect with nature and find peace.

The park is located in a municipally-owned farm with the same name, on the northernmost foothills of the Aljarafe Cornice the Aljarafe. The most outstanding feature of this green area is semi-free-ranging farm animals that captivate the youngest visitors. They often come to feed the animals, having become part of a local tradition.

The country estate, also known as Hacienda La Fuenlonguilla, is located half a kilometre along the road SE-457. It dates back to the mid-19th century, more specifically 1858. It was used for agricultural and livestock activities. The Hacienda’s original olive oil mill is still in perfect condition, as is the rest of the complex.

The Andalusia Line’s telegraph tower-fortress for the Puertollano-Cádiz section was built between 1850 and 1853 and remained in use until 1857. The tower, built as a fortress, was guarded by paramilitary troops with rifles. When it was abandoned, the Guardia Civil guarded the building to avoid its use as a fortress by criminals or rebels.

Originally, it was an isolated farmhouse separated from the original town of El Saucejo. From the 17th century onwards, it was used by the Society of Jesus and after the expulsion of the Order by Charles III it became private property. The building includes a house, a chapel, two mill towers and several farm buildings around a courtyard.

This is undoubtedly the most outstanding rustic building of a civil nature due to its historical importance. Located 2 kilometres away next to the crossroads of the roads to Cazalla de la Sierra and San Nicolás del Puerto (A-455), the building consists of a large hall, divided into three sections by two rows of semicircular arches.

Early 17th century farmhouse built on a large rock. It belonged to the Count of Santa Coloma, Count of Gerena. It currently belongs to the Marquis of Albaserrada.
