Navarredonde (El Saucejo). Iglesia del Patriarca Señor San José
Church of the Patriarca Señor San José in Navarredonda

This is an early 18th-century chapel. The Chapel is built in masonry, brick and wood, with a rectangular floor plan, plain walls and roofed by a wooden trough structure, forming its only nave, with the altar at the far end. It also has a lateral sacristy.

The Nuestra Señora de la Victoria Parish Church was initially the church of the Convent of the Minim Friars of St Francis of Paola. 

El Saucejo. Hacienda San Pedro
San Pedro Farmhouse

Originally, it was an isolated farmhouse separated from the original town of El Saucejo. From the 17th century onwards, it was used by the Society of Jesus and after the expulsion of the Order by Charles III it became private property. The building includes a house, a chapel, two mill towers and several farm buildings around a courtyard.

The Santísimo Cristo de la Cárcel Chapel, located in the Plaza Principal, and currently renamed as Antonio Mairena, was directly communicated with the town’s former prison from which it took its name.

This late 18th-century Chapel was built to honour the now-lost image of a Crucified Christ, revered here in the mid-17th century according to available records.

Chapel of the Confraternity of El Rocío of Olivares

The Confraternity of El Rocío of Olivares was founded in 1933, an offshoot of the Confraternity of El Rocío in the neighbouring town of Umbrete. However, it was not until the following year, 1934, when the parent organisation, the Confraternity of El Rocío of Almonte, accepted it as an official affiliate, once the Confraternity of Gines had sponsored it.

Carmen Church

The 16th-century Church originally belonged to the convent of the Barefoot Carmelite Fathers. However, the remains from that time are negligible due to the extensive renovation carried out in the 18th century, and the reconstruction works between 1881 and 1883 that gave it a neoclassical feel.

Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Consolación

The Sanctuary dates back to the early 16th century when Antonio Barrados obtained permission to build a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Consolation. The titular image was gifted by the Nuestra Señora de la Antigua Convent. On 31 March 1561, the chapel was transferred to the congregation of Minimal Fathers. The construction of the convent and church began at that time.
