“The Roman legacy in Seville” is a journey through the traces of Rome’s passage through the city and its province, which shows the visitor all the Monumental and Artistic Heritage that we treasure of this civilisation that once colonised and directed the known world.

The Washington Irving Route follows the footprints of the American romantic writer and diplomat in 1829, fascinated by the richness and the exoticism of the Hispano-Arabic civilisation together with his admiration for the figure of Christopher Columbus and the Discovery of America.

Retracing Cervantes’ footsteps in the province is an excellent opportunity to discover the rich heritage of the Sevillian towns he visited as an officer for the King and his Royal Treasury. A treasure that was perpetuated through some of the pieces he wrote.

The province of Seville has an important wine tradition based, mainly, on the production of white wines, grape juices, brandies and liquors. The rich heritage and the beauty of the unique natural landscapes of the province of Seville combine with its unique gastronomy and wine production to create an unbeatable tourist destination.

The Hacienda Atalaya Alta is located between Seville and Carmona, 5 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from Santa Justa Station. It has rooms for celebrations, with the possibility of extension with a marquee, as well as garden areas for holding social, business or any kind of events.

In this unique setting, a total of 6 rooms are available for all kinds of social events. The Hotel Alcázar de la Reina has a total of 68 rooms, some of which are adapted for the disabled.

Since the Muslim period, the defence of Al-Andalus became a primary objective and that is the reason why castles were built in fortifications located in strategic places. Most of them are over six centuries old, witnesses of the Middle Ages, built by the Arab population to defend themselves from the Christians fighting for the Reconquest.
