It is the oldest building in El Cuervo de Sevilla, dating from the 18th century. It is located on the right-hand side of the Carretera Nacional IV, almost on the border between the provinces of Seville and Cadiz. The building has an area of 2,016.40 sqm of which 1,260 sqm are built and 756.40 sqm are interior courtyards.

It was used to refuel the stagecoaches that made the journey from Cadiz and Seville to Madrid; it was a mandatory stop after so many kilometres to rest for couriers and travellers on stagecoaches, as well as to replace horses.
