The Shrine is located in the former Hospital de la Misericordia. This small rectangular building has two sections separated by a pointed triumphal arch. It has only one entrance at the foot of the Epistle side of the temple. The entrance is framed by an alfiz and topped with a cantilevered cornice. A brick belfry stands at the apse of this same side.

El Pedroso

After crossing the Cordel del Pedroso, the Dehesa Alta, Los Gamos and the Loma de la Mimbrera you come to this town. It seems that this area was colonised by the Romans, attracted by the richness of its soils, although its greatest boom came with the opening of an iron foundry in the 16th century.

Cazalla de la Sierra

The Romans founded the town of Callentum which, with the arrival of the Moors, was renamed Castalla. This town, known for its aniseed and cherry liqueurs, can be considered the centre of the Sierra Norte park, and in the surrounding area numerous traces of settlements from the Neolithic and Chalcolithic periods have been found.

The cultural centre, located in one of the finest examples of civil architecture in the county, houses a museum on the history of writing.

It also has an area dedicated to the life and legacy of José Manuel Lara Hernández, founder of the Planeta publishing group, who is an El Pedroso native. This centre also focuses on the enormous relevance of mining in the town’s development.

Sierra Morena de Sevilla Natural Park, located in the north of the province of Seville, is a protected natural area that was declared a natural park in 1989.

This tourist complex for young people offers different types of leisure activities, including gymkhanas, water sports, zip lines, canoes, active tourism, summer camps and extracurricular activities. Equipped with safe, modern facilities and specialised staff.
