Cascadas del Hueznar

Seville enchants

Originally, it was an isolated farmhouse separated from the original town of El Saucejo. From the 17th century onwards, it was used by the Society of Jesus and after the expulsion of the Order by Charles III it became private property. The building includes a house, a chapel, two mill towers and several farm buildings around a courtyard.

Aguadulce owes much of its fame to the quality of its crops. Its beans are so popular that it would not be surprising to find Jack roaming the fields in search of magic beans for his beanstalk.

The cottage farm was built in the mid-sixteenth century by friars of the Order of St Bruno to grow agricultural products for themselves and for other friars in the Carthusian Monastery of Cazalla de la Sierra and Santa Maria de las Cuevas in Seville.

Cooperativa San Sebastián was founded in 1963 by a group of farmers from Lora del Río who sought to work together to have greater power. From the outset, this agricultural cooperative has been linked with the evolution of agriculture in this region. Initially, they focused on the olive-growing sector, the main crop in the area. However, they soon began to explore new crops, such as maise.

The San Buenaventura farm school is located in the Pinares de Oromana Natural Park, a protected pinewood in Alcalá de Guadaíra.

The farm school is over 10 hectares and has greenhouses, orchards, cultivation, gardening areas scattered across this area. Some of the activities at this centre are hiking, looking after and handling farm animals and engaging in agricultural work.

Set in the heart of the countryside, Hacienda Los Miradores is an original 17th-century farm that offers environmental education and knowledge and understanding of agricultural and livestock activities in a natural environment.
