This contest takes place in Marchena in the early spring. Saetas have a long history and tradition in this town.
In spring, flamenco music is delivered through the saeta. The saeta is an “a capella” form of singing performed by amateur and professional flamenco singers.
It is located in an 18th-century building known as the Casa del Aire. The Museum of Women in Flamenco is the only existing centre of its kind in the world, where visitors can gain insight into the living history of this acclaimed form of art.
This carnival has been declared an Andalusian Festival of Tourist Interest.
