“La Estepeña" Mantecado Museum and Chocolate City

A visit to this museum is an ideal opportunity to learn about Estepa’s mantecado tradition, the hallmark of this town. The diorama provides a detailed explanation of how mantecados and polvorones are made, from reception of the raw material to kneading, baking and packaging.

An old confectionery workshop can be seen at the museum. You can also buy the sweets directly at its famous factory in Estepa. 

If you visit in Christmas, you can go to the Chocolate City at the La Estepeña factory. Every year, a scale model of a well-known large city is reproduced in chocolate. In 2019, it was Madrid.
