The original shrine, of which only the chapel remains, was from the 13th century. It was renovated in the 14th century with the addition of the sacristy and the portal. It was later renovated again in the 18th century. It has been restored in 1842, 1861, 1887 and 1920. Despite these works, it has maintained its Mudejar-style. The brick temple consists of a single nave covered by a coffered ceiling and the main chapel with a vault on squinches. The high choir is situated at the west end of the nave.

The main entrance, also at the west front, is protected by a portal with three arches, over which stands a bell gable.
