Purísima Concepción Parish Church

8

This parish church was built in 1964 over the remains of an 18th-century church. The new La Purísima Concepción Parish Church has a modern, avant-garde style.

The single-nave temple with a polygonal presbytery is one of the most significant monuments in the town.

Highlights inside include a statue of Our Lady of Sorrows and another of Saint Joseph in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary. There is also a figure of Jesus the Nazarene in the nave and an Immaculate Conception in the Sacristy. The Church is also home to the images of Our Lady of the Rosary, the town’s patron saint, Our Lady of Carmen and Saint Anthony. All the statues are from the eighteenth century.
