The Church of San Pedro is a Gothic-Mudejar temple built in the 14th century and renovated in the 16th and 18th centuries. It consists of three naves separated by Gothic arches on rectangular pillars and a wooden coffered ceiling with the presbytery covered by a vault.

It has several altarpieces and chapels among which the main Baroque altarpiece decorated with columns stands out. It is presided over by the image of Saint Peter the Pope, the work of Andrés Ocampo, from the 16th century.

The painter Velázquez, who lived nearby this parish, was baptised in this church. There is a memorial tombstone inside.

There are three brotherhoods in this parish, the Brotherhood of Cristo de Burgos, the Sacramental de San Pedro and the Virgen del Pilar.
