The chapel of the Humilladero del Cristo is located on the Royal Road between Guadalcanal and Llerena.

It is a baroque building from the second half of the 18th century. Next to the chapel is the Humilladero, from the same century. One of the most outstanding features of the Humilladero shrine is a tile mural representing the Calvary with flowers and verses, which has now been restored and placed on display in the Church of Santa Ana. Cardinal Solis granted 100 days’ indulgence to anyone who prayed a creed before this image of Christ.

Pilgrims came to this chapel to give thanks and pray for the well-being of their loved ones. In mid-September, on the esplanade in front of this chapel, a festival was held in honour of the Christ (Christ's vigil). Later, this festival was transferred to the Plaza de España.
