Different archaeological artefacts and items of historical value are preserved and exhibited inside Burguillos’ Town Hall, including niches for religious images, millstones, roofing tiles, shafts and capitals.
There is also a collection of shark and whale fossils. The fossilised shark tooth from over 7 million years ago was found in Burguillos. It belonged to a Carcharocles megalodon, a massive primitive shark that measured up to twenty metres long, that lived in the warm seas of the planet. Several farmhands found this tooth by chance in Los Bodegones de Burguillos. The area around Burguillos abounds in whale fossils.
