Coria Fair

1

This event, which takes place on the third week of September, is one of the most renowned and important fairs in the province of Seville. Coria’s Fair celebrated its 170th anniversary in 2007, making it three years older than the Seville Fair. It was declared an Andalusian Festival of Tourist Interest in 2008. The fairgrounds are located by the River Guadalquivir on Paseo Carlos de Mesa. The Fair has a layout similar to others in the province, with colourful marquees where people sing and dance until the early hours of the morning dresses in flamenco costumes. Other activities include horse and carriage riding, revolving around horses and carriages, grease poles and different performances. All this makes this Fair a unique event in which locals and visitors alike have fun in an incomparable setting near the Guadalquivir.
