"La Yerbabuena” Flamenco Festival was founded by Juan Bernabé Britto, Juan Peña "El Lebrijano", Miguel Acal and Pedro de Miguel Hermida, fans, artists and lovers of this universal art, with the purpose of dignifying flamenco and spreading it as the most genuine artistic cultural expression of the Andalusian people.

This festival was declared an Andalusian Event of Tourist Interest. This initiative was launched by José Meneses and Francisco Moreno Galván in 1967. The festival is held in different squares and locations in the town, bringing together people from all over Spain and other countries, in particular Germany, the United States and France.

A festival born at the same time as the Peña El Rincón del Pilar.
