What to see
Begin your visit at the Plaza de España, known by locals as ‘El Monumento’, where the sculpture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is located. The most curious sight in this square is the remains of the Don Juan de Córdoba Centurión Palace, the son of the Marquise of Estepa, on the north side. He set up the first archaeological museum in Andalusia in his own house, with an exhibition of the remains found around the town. However, the collection is no longer in Lora de Estepa.
A must-visit building is the Neoclassical San Miguel Church. Last but not least, enjoy a hiking trail through the Sierra de Estepa. Only then will you be able to admire the natural surroundings.
